Greenhouse conditions enable the harvest of tomatoes in the form of hydroponics or soilless. Production is undertaken in such a way that the fruiting part rests on the earth. After equal durations of time, the plants are tied again.

Especially in countries experiencing cold weather conditions, Greenhouse tomatoes assume crucial importance. This stands true for countries like Canada and Europe. Soil that has been mixed in the appropriate manner is the foremost component for growing tomatoes in greenhouses. This means that the contents should be mixed in the right amount. For this purpose, potting soil should be of standard quality. It has sphagnum, perlite and vermiculite. The right Ph is attuned accordingly. Water should be added in the right amount in order to dampen the soil mix.

While planting, care should be taken that tomato seeds have been placed at a depth of ¼ inch. At least 8 seeds should be planted within 1 inch. In order to prevent them from drying out, it would be a good idea to keep them covered. An 80 degree temperature is required for tomatoes to grow and they need about 5 to 12 days to come out. Fluorescent light should be placed above the sprouts that have come out recently. They need to be transplanted into containers measuring up to 6 inches after they have become 1 ½ inches in height.

Now, the tomatoes will require more number of fluorescent lights. At least 2 to 3 are essential. And they ought to remain turned on each day for minimum 18 and maximum 24 hours. 70-75 degrees can be considered vital during the day time. Whereas at night, 65-67 degrees of temperature is considered to be an optimum level. One gallon containers are required after plants reach 12 inches. Tomatoes should begin bearing fruits in the period of 6 to 8 weeks. When tomatoes begin flowering, then they need to be transplanted into containers of a capacity of about 3 gallons. Appropriate fertilizer should be given to them. At the same time, watering is essential for the tomatoes.

During temperate and moist weather, flowers are needed to be pollinated each day. At about noon this can be done. Even bees can be used to undertake pollination. But this happens typically in the case of big tomato growing procedures. Thus, it can be seen that the process of growing tomatoes in greenhouses is extremely simple.
