Growing tomatoes in greenhouse are though entirely depends on growers skills with greenhouse you can grow good quality tomatoes. You need not to be an expert grower before you start with your production. Only ensure your greenhouse is working properly with equipments like vents, irrigation systems, heaters, etc. As your plants have fewer threats from garden wild life, you shouldn’t afraid to plant number of cultivation at a time. You don’t need number of greenhouses to increase your production. With proper greenhouse method you can increase your tomatoes production.
Many think that greenhouse products are always grown organically. In greenhouse vegetables are grown in controlled environment. So you can grow any seasonal crop in any month through out a year. In greenhouse there is no threat of pests and other sort of diseases. So, you r crop is pretty safe in Greenhouse giving you high quality products. The basic need to set a greenhouse is that you need at least 4\5 square feet land fro each plant. Depending o that you ca decide how much land you have and how much you can use to grow tomato plants. This arrangement will give about 20 – 25 pond fruits per plant. You can also increase your production by enlarging you greenhouse area. More efficient you greenhouse management, more fruits you will grow in minimum time.
Tomatoes grown in greenhouse have good taste and are rich in essentials minerals. In market these tomatoes are reputed for being harvested as vine ripened tomato. The exact time to pick these tomatoes is when they turned to light red. You should avoid picking them before they turned red unless and until you used to sell them in market as friend green tomatoes. If you want to ship them at long distance then you have to pick them before they start turning red from greenish pink stage.
Once you have decided to grow tomato in your greenhouse then you should avoid growing other types of vegetables under one roof. Simple reason is for ever plant optimum temperature is different, which help that plant to grow comfortably. If you are growing other type plants with tomatoes then for their regular you have to maintain the temperature in such a way that it won’t harm your main tomato crop, which is very tricky. And you fail doing this; you may get to observer less productivity than expected.
