CO2 Effects on Growing Plants in Greenhouse:

from:

CO2 means carbon dioxide. It is dangerous for human being while useful for trees and plants. As you know that our natural environment consists of nitrogen, oxygen and carbon dioxide. During daytime trees absorb Carbon dioxide and converts into oxygen. It is a law of the nature. Therefore without carbon dioxide plants will not grow successfully. CO2 is a kind of energy for them. It is natural greenhouse gas. Use some instruments in greenhouse and control the level of CO2.

If you increase the level of carbon dioxide in greenhouse, it will enhance the growth of plants. Using ventilation system you can increase the Co2 level in any greenhouse. But in closed greenhouse system when you will use ventilation system it will affects negatively on plants. It is because plants need more energy during growing period, there is no open air and ventilation system cannot produce enough CO2 in closed greenhouse. In summer ventilation system will be open, fresh and natural air will be there. Plants get more CO2. At this time carbon dioxide is very useful. In winter most of the greenhouse use heating and lighting systems to enhances plants growth. At this time you may not allow to open ventilation.

Plants get more carbon dioxide when the will sun shine or all the lights will on. Different plants have different range of consumption process. Rate of consumption is also depends on heat, temperature, light intensity, nutrient level and plants growth stage. When you will higher consumption rate it means plants getting enough temperature and CO2.

Many processes produce carbon dioxide. Some processes are natural while some are manmade. You cannot stop and avoid natural process. You often have to provide heat to the greenhouse in temperate zones. This heating procedure or heating will cause to burn fossil, fuels, and produce CO2. It helps to re-circulate gas from the heating systems into the greenhouse. It means you will get double advantages of this heating procedure for your plants. If you will handle fuel gas carefully the carbon dioxide will convert into the greenhouse. It is not only bad for the plants but also potential lethal to the people those are working there. You can also use instruments to create such environment.
