Greenhouse Vegetable Growing Methods in England:

There are many methods of growing vegetables that can be used in a greenhouse. European farmers are using many modern methods like Organic Farming, Soil System, Container Method, and Hydroponics methods. Secret of best growing vegetables are depend on how and what kind of methods that you use in a greenhouse. This article contains tips and gives information simultaneously about some methods.

Soil System:
In this method you plant directly in the soil. It also requires least amount of labor. There is greater possibility of occurring diseases, insects, and weed problems. But using some composts, chemicals you can avoid diseases, destroy diseases and stop weed problems. Handle chemicals carefully.

You can take benefits of year-round crops. Keep greenhouse empty during summer days for solarization. This activity may controls some soil problems. The soil turns and moistens during summer days. Then close the greenhouse minimum two weeks to reduce number of soil-borne insects before using it again in winter season. Soil fertility should be determined and managed with using soil media testing. The pH should be maintained constantly in soil. Salt can be increased more than requirement during summer or it can be increased because of over watering. So try to control salt using different composts. The greenhouse can be opened when it is empty. Use fertilizers, which contains calcium, potassium nitrate, superphosphate, potassium sulfate and so on.

Contain System:
It is modern method and becoming popular in England. Using container method is a good idea but costly. It is simple technique but requires more smart work than the soil method needs. Pots are used to plant. Many different types of pots are used with perlite, vermiculate, sand or ground pine dark. The media, which you are going to use, should be clean and safe. They should not carry any pathogens or disease while you plant in the pots. You can also use composts in the pots. This kind of method can also create difficulty.

Organic Method:
Organic is a method where farmers try to avoid using chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and other technical items that could be proved as dangerous for plants in the greenhouse. Farmers can be use crop rotation, reused crops, animal manures, legumes, kitchen raw material, and other organic waste items in the Organic Farming. There is difference between organic farming and traditional farming. We can say it is advanced farming method in the modern era. You can use artificial lights, ventilation method.
