Moisture should be maintained but wetness should not be allowed to settle in at any cost. Pollination should be undertaken when the level of humidity is elevated, especially in the middle of the day. The male flowers ought to be detached. It’s the female flowers that give rise to melons.
The fruits need to be supported by a string when their size reaches that of a tennis ball. The ripening of the fruit will take place better if the leaves are removed.
