Growing Tomatoes in Greenhouse

Many people like to grow different types of vegetables inside their house. SO, they use different types of methods. Greenhouse is one such method where you can grow many types of vegetables under one roof. This advanced technique is best and easiest way to grow vegetables for your daily use. Tomatoes are most lovable vegetable fruits across the world. For many gardeners and farmers it is most successful crop that surely gives comfortable refund. Basically, many people prefer cucumber and lettuce to grow in indoor garden. But relatively, tomatoes are easy to grow for indoor gardens. In market, demand for high quality tomatoes is always on high, which due to high contain of protein and other essential minerals. However, growing tomatoes is not a big challenge for any6 grower. But to grow high quality tomatoes is bit difficult if proper methods are not used.

Before start with actual production, it is important to choose appropriate tomato cultivars. Because, tomato demand basically depends on their size, shape, and color. The main advantage of using high quality cultivar is total freedom from cracks, low disease resistance, and low production. Better greenhouse tomato cultivar grows almost 30 – 40 feet for 10 month season. Some modern species of tomatoes are more disease resistant that their older one. So, you have high production level and simple pollination methods. There are two major cultivar category are available in market. One is Beefsteak and other is cluster.

Beefsteak category cultivars can produce large tomatoes that can weigh 6-8 ounce. Famous cultivars include Jumbo, Laura, Caruso and Trend. These all cultivars can be grown in Greenhouse and can produce sufficient amount of fruits with high quality. But two cultivars from this category Trust and math are susceptible to small cracks on their surface. You can avoid such problems by controlling greenhouse temperature and moisture.

The cluster category is much popular now days. These vine-ripened tomatoes are known by different names as cluster tomatoes, truss tomatoes, cluster harvested tomatoes, and also vine tomatoes. It is most widely grown tomato crop around the world. Cluster tomatoes are almost similar to their beefsteak category tomato crops. Only the difference is the plant longer and tomatoes are in cluster form. These tomato posses high quality in shape, color and taste and has excellent shelf life.

You can use any crop to grow tomato in your greenhouse. But for better production you always need to be careful about the greenhouse environment, temperature, humidity, and also need to spray pesticides regularly.
