Actually, the America is an origination of bell peppers and then spread over the world. They are perennial but grow as annual in temperate climates. They are grown as tall crop. Primarily they are divided into three categories; red, yellow, and orange.
Production of peppers is depended on verities of plants. These virilities develop continually and grow from new meristems that produce new stems, leaves, flowers and fruits. Some verities of plants grow to certain size, produce fruits, stops growing and eventually dies. While some plant verities need constant management for their growth.
Greenhouse pepper production is a long year production cycle. October is supposed to be use to seed peppers. Harvest starts in March and continues to the November. After six weeks of seeding in nursery plants are moved into greenhouse for plantation. Plants should be almost ten inches tall when you transplant into greenhouse. Standard pepper sawdust bag will hold maximum three plants.
The growing media should be wetted with sufficient items such as nutrient feed solution. Maintain temperature at a constant level for the first week. Then gradually increase it what peppers really need. They grow tall; therefore, using gutter type of greenhouse is good idea so that crops grow successfully.
You can also use Retardants in greenhouse. The pipe and rail system can be used to provide water, and as well as provide electricity. Using growing media is good for bell peppers. Maintaining balance in the plants as early as possible is an essential thing. This balance helps to set stage for constant, sustainable production and good result. Once a good balance is maintained in the corps, then they will keep on balance to the end of the season.
Use of Pepper Pests in the Greenhouse:
There are many pests that are used to prevent diseases in the greenhouse. Many diseases occur in the greenhouse. They affect to leaves, flowers, and fruits. The green peach aphid is the most common aphid pest of greenhouse. Different aphid species are used for different diseases and give different results effectively. Loopers generally enter the greenhouse through vents and other openings as adult months. Then they lay eggs and produce number of loopers on the plants. Whiteflies, fungus gnats, lygus bugs, earwigs etc are common insects that create bad impact on the bell peppers in the greenhouse. Use best pests and avoid coming dangerous.
