Growing Greenhouse Vegetables in England:
from:Many methods are used for growing vegetables in England. Normally England is a cold country. Organic method is well known method that people preferably follow to produce vegetable in greenhouse. The US vegetable greenhouse is contains several small areas. The greenhouse contains ten to 800 acres area. Mexico greenhouse contains about 450 acres area. Canada has about 1600 and around. But European farmers now follow small areas for greenhouse. Even small farmers are also following the organic method for growing vegetables in greenhouses.
Farmers can follow year-round production method. It will give more profits than other methods. Year-round means does not use only one plant for year again and again in a greenhouse. It is means produce any vegetable in winter season and keep empty during summer days. It is because it will be Solaris in summer and helps to provide proper temperature to the plants in winter.
Liquid fertilizer provide through irrigation water in greenhouse. In this method greenhouse needs nitrogen and phosphorus. Provide fish protein and chicken protein thorough various water irrigation methods like drip, drip-tape, and micro-sprinkler.
Organic method needs more careful and creative management. It is system that avoids the use of synthetic fertilizer, pesticides, growth regulators and technology that will create any bad effect on plants. Crop rotations, crop residues, animal manures, legumes, green manures, organic raw material, etc are used in the organic farming. Control and manage biological fertilization by using mechanical cultivation systems. Keep in mind, there is difference between traditional farming and organic greenhouse production.
Greenhouse soil is divided into two categories. First, soil that is local soil or soils of farm where we grow our vegetables. While soil culture is the soil that we have to borrow or buy from nurseries or any shops for the greenhouse and then grow vegetables. Without soil we cannot produce anything in the greenhouse. But, it is the matter of choosing best soil for growing vegetables in the greenhouse.
You need small amount of labor and money as well. Even small scale of compost provides large rate of energy. Attached small chamber to one side of composting greenhouse so that it will generate heat and carbon dioxide to the plants. Use chicken and rabbits to produce heat and carbon dioxide in the greenhouse. Heat and CO2 are most essential items for growing vegetables in greenhouse.
In the organic system you can use ventilation system, artificial light, media testing etc.
This is most popular and common method that used in England to grow vegetables in the greenhouse.
