In order that the vegetative plant propagation should be a success some important things should be followed. The vegetative propagation of the plant should be started with a healthy plant. That is the part of the plant that is selected for propagation should be taken from the disease free or insect free area of the plant.
The cutting tools that are used for these plants should be clean and have sharp edges. The House plants should be kept clean and pest free all the time. Therefore extreme care about the cleanliness of these plants should be taken while its propagation is done. The containers in which these plants are placed should be clean and disease free. In addition to this the containers should have a good water holding capacity. At the same time it should have proper air spaces in them that can result in proper growth of the plants.
The plants should be placed in bright and indirect sunlight. At the same time the plants should not be exposed to harsh temperatures. The humidity in the surrounding atmosphere should be more than normal humidity conditions. The leaves of the indoor household plants must not touch each other. The rooting media of the indoor plants must be always kept moist. At the same time the rooting media should not be exposed to excess water.
Finally, the period between the formation of seeds and the transplantation stage should be monitored properly. This transplantation period is different for different plants. Also the transplantation period depends on the growth rate, temperature and the environmental conditions.
