Requirements for Seed Propagation:

In this method, the two plants exchange the genetic material to each other and produce exact new pant. Some biannual, annual plants, flowers can be germinated in this method. This is an attempt to provide general tips and requirement for the Seed Propagation.
First essential thing is that the seed should be pure, guaranteed. It should not be affected with diseases, or insects. Whether it is taken from shops or preserved at home it doesn’t matter. If you want to buy seed from shop read instructions carefully. If there is no detail instructions or information, do not buy the seed. Catalogues and seed packets also provides data about the germination time, germination requirements, date of manufactured, blooming time etc. Often use company made seed rather than home collection.
You can also use home collected seed. Most of the gardeners prefer to use home saved seeds. But there is a greater possibility of seed infection from insects and diseases. Sometimes we preserved seed carelessly and it will also affects on germination procedure. Therefore it is better not to save the Hybrid seed.
If even you want to use home saved seeds be careful about it. The seeds should be polished with cleaned liquid or other material. Certain annual, biannual flowers and plants like herbs, beans, tomatoes, peas, lettuce can be preserved and use them for germination. First benefit of the saving seed is that it saves our money. You have a great chance to save any verity of the seed.
The seed should be made of three parts. First, there should be outer protecting coat, food supply under seed coat and origin of young crops.
Use proper soil or growing media so that supply proper water, air, and nutrient to the seed.
Water, temperature, air, and soil these are essential requirements for seed’s germination. Water enters into the seed and enables the seed to produce smaller leaves. In other words water enables the seed to reproduce the structure.
Light penetrates seed’s germination. Lighting condition helps you to take decision about seeding. It means whether seed would be sown on the surface of the media or bellow the surface.
Growing seeds require oxygen as we require it. It helps seed to break down and to create food into the seed. During germination period more temperature is required.
