Rooting Conditions Media in Plant Propagation:
from:Rooting media is one of the categories of the Asexual Plant Propagation. A piece of plant is cut and attached to the other plants and the new plant is produced. The two plants exchange their genetic material to each other and a plant copy is produced.
The rooting media requires cleanly environment. It means the growing media, growing plant, growing system, and nutrients should be clean and free from all kinds of diseases or insects so that the plant can form a new plant effectively and easily. Once you done all things carefully the Rooting System requires some conditions that are given bellow.
Water, air, nutrients, temperature these are essential requirements for the rooting system.
First thing you have to keep in mind, create such an environment in the garden or in the container so that the root system can be produced effectively and as soon as possible. If the rooting system is slow then the plant may die or burn itself. Provide proper water, because the development of the plant totally depends on the water. There are number of chemical reaction of chemical. And for all major reactions water is must. When you will insert medium to the cuttings it should be completely moist. If the medium is incompletely moist pocket of the cuttings may closed; they will not absorb water anymore and it may die soon.
Maintain warm temperature as required. Oxygen should be enough. If there is no proper sunlight due to natural factors, provide artificial light and ventilation system to the plants. Higher temperature is good for growth. But even highest temperature can cause to burn plant. So maintaining the temperature is most valuable thing in the rooting system. Combination of air, water, temperature enhances to provide food, energy, and growth to the plants. You can also use an electric heating pad to maintain constant temperature.
There should be proper air circulation around the plants.
Mist bed is one the best system that is used to provide good environments to the plants. In this method fine mist water is used. After every few minutes water is sprayed over the cuttings
There are other methods also use to propagate plant in the rooting media.
