It is because the plant can form new root of plant easily. Provide enough water, nutrients, temperature, and plant environment. There should be ready supply of the moisture at the cut surface. It is better if you use coarse-texture media. This kind of media provides proper requirement to the plant. Do not use artificial mixture soil or media. It will harm to the propagation system. The artificial mixture may be affected with insects or disease. You can also use the best mixture of vermiculite and peat moss. They are free from diseases and insects and weed seeds.
Rooting Media that you are going to use for Asexual Propagation should be sterile and clean. When you cut a piece of plant, be careful about it. Most of the prepared media are clean when you buy. Regarding fertilizer media should be low. Take care that the cutting piece should not be affect with an outer bad air or would not be touch to the soil.
