Automatic Misting Plant Propagation System

from:

Automatic misting is a method that is used in order to control the supply of water to the cuttings and seedlings. The Automatic Misting Plant Propagation System is usually used along with a particular heating system. Due to this, the mixture that is used for propagation does not dry out completely. Automatic Misting is a process that requires water to be sprayed from time to time on the cuttings and seedlings. This should be done during regular periods of time. You can make use of a timer to maintain the regular supply of water. There is a sensor with which you can detect when the leaf has dried out.

A sensor that is used very often is a mechanical one. The leaf itself is mechanical. It is made out of a wire mesh. This mesh is provided some support. And it is connected to a switch made out of mercury. When water falls over the mesh, the leaf swings down. This results in the breaking of electrical contact. Due to this, the electric valve closes and supply of water stops. After the leaf has dried up again, electric contact gets established. The supply of water begins all over again.

The Automatic Misting System needs to be set up in a correct manner. The Automatic Misting System makes it very easy to take care of cuttings as well as seedlings. Plant propagation can be undertaken without spending much time taking care of the system. Sometimes, plants may get affected by fungal diseases. This could kill the plants. Hence, it is better if the atmosphere is kept as dry as possible. Usually when you propagate plants at home, only a little quantity of plant is produced. So, it is better to spend on a system that is self contained and commercial.

Such systems are available in big nurseries. This system covers an area of forty to fifty centimeter square. The base contains an element for heating. Instead it could contain a misting system. You can even construct a misting system as per your needs and requirements. The materials that are needed can be bought from company that supplies horticultural materials. Water and electricity come into close contact in the misting system. Owing to this, there may be an electric shock which may prove fatal. The electrical contractor who is hired to do the job should undoubtedly be qualified.
